Bade Achhe Lagte Hain‘ star Ram Kapoor, who will next be seen in Sajid Khan’s Humshakals, says he is quitting his popular TV show to grow as an actor.

“I am leaving my show because I want to grow as an actor. When you do a hit show for three years, you get stuck to a similar image. There is no scope left for growth. But as an actor, I want to do different kind of work,” said Ram.

With the TV drama, the 41-year-old actor has created a special place for himself on TV. The actor is playing a triple role in the comedy film. ”I am known for my serious roles but I must say that comedy is a tough genre. I feel it is easy to make a person cry but very tough to make him/her laugh,” he said.

Asked whether he had any inhibition about dressing up as a woman in the film, Ram said, “I have known Sajid for 20 years. More than a director, he is a close friend to me. I was only concerned about the fact that the film should not be vulgar so that I can take my two children to watch it.”
