The poster of Aamir’s upcoming film PK has landed in trouble

Just a few days back, the poster of Rajkumar Hirani’s much-awaited film PK, starring Aamir Khan in the lead, was released. And it grabbed headlines courtesy Mr Perfectionist’s nude avatar. While most B-townies appreciated the film’s poster, Khan’s bold look became the butt of jokes on popular social networking site Twitter. That’s not all! Recently, a women’s group lodged a complaint against the poster stating it as obscene following which PK’s poster was removed from the Gaiety Galaxy theatres. If that wasn’t enough, the Dhoom:3 actor’s poster has now come under political radar. Congress MLA Krishna Hegde wants Aamir to withdraw the poster as its vulgar. Hegde said in an interview, “Through media, I would like to convey to Aamir that the poster is in bad taste. It has appeared in several newspapers and has gone viral on social media.”

He further added, “We would be ‘dressing’ a cutout of the offensive Aamir poster here tomorrow to register our protest. Aamir should withdraw the poster as it offends sensibilities. Aamir should remember that there are families and children who read newspapers and watch the ad on TV.”
