The most controversial and talked about reality show of Indian television, Bigg Bossis now back with a bang. Its season 8 is going to go on-air from September 21 and everyone’s waiting with bated breath to know who the final contestants are. Well, we have got the names of celebrities, who have been confirmed for this season, which will be hosted by Salman Khan. Check it out.

Ajit Chandila

Claim to fame - Ajit is an off spin bowler from Haryana, India. He plays for Rajasthan Royals currently but was previously known for his performance for the Air India North Zone team.

Our take - In 2013, Ajit was arrested on charges of Spot-fixing during IPL 6 by the Delhi police along with S Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan, who played alongside him for Rajasthan Royals. Naturally, his controversial past will become the talk of the house at one point of time.

Upen Patel

Claim to fame – After having a successful run in modelling, Upen made his big Bollywood debut with Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor starrer 36 China Town, for which he also won Best Debut awards.

Last seen in – Upen was last seen in 2012 movie, Run Bhola Run, which tanked big time at the box office.

Our take - With his pompous attitude and unsuccessful acting career we definitely will see some crazy action from Upen on the show.

Gautam Gulati

Claim to fame – The TV actor came into the spotlight when he was seen in TV show, Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani. He later went on to do serials like Crazy Stupid Ishq, Suvreen Guggal-Topper of the Year and Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Last seen as - Gautam, who was playing the role of Vikram Rathi in Diya Aur Baati Hum has bid adieu to the show for Bigg Boss 8.

Our take – The TV actor, who looks quite handsome will definitely be the eye candy inside the house of horrors.

Karishma Tanna

Claim to fame – Karishma became popular with her first TV stint as Indira Virani in Ekta Kapoor’sKyunki Saas Bhiu Kabhi Bahu Thi. She then went on to do other popular shows like Shararat,Kkusum among others.

Last seen in – Karishma was last seen in Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani starrer Grand Masti.

Our take – Just like Shweta, Karishma will definitely raise the hotness quotient in Bigg Boss 8.

Arya Babbar

Claim to fame – Though Arya made his debut in the industry in 2002 with Ab Ke Baras, but he only became a popular face when he played a police inspector in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, which starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. However the film bombed at the box office. He then shared the screen space with Salman Khan in Ready and it is being said that Salman has recommended Arya’s name this year.

Last seen in – Arya was last seen in the Punjabi film, Heer and Hero, which was released in 2013.

Our take – Given that he is Punjabi munda, Arya would definitely have this infectious energy inside him. We are expecting him to turn the house into a lively place during sad times.

Sonali Raut

Claim to fame - Younger sister of Indian model Ujjwala Raut, Sonali modeled for the Kingfisher calender in 2010, before making her big Bollywood debut with The Xpose this year. She received positive feedback from the critics.

Last seen in – She hasn’t done any films post her debut.

Our take – Perfect to be the Barbie Doll of the house.

Sushant Digvikar

Claim to fame - Sushant grabbed the headlines when he was crowned Mr Gay India 2014 earlier this year. He represented India at Mr Gay World 2014, but didn’t win the title.

Last seen in – Sushant participated in season 3 of a reality show titled Big Switch.

Our take – Sushant is said to be a trained dancer and the master of karaoke. Naturally, he will be the entertainment package inside the Bigg Boss house this year.

Sushant Singh

Claim to fame – Sushant made his Bollywood debut in 1998 when he played the role of Pakiya in Satya. Over the years, he played supportive roles in several films. However, he became quite popular when he started hosting Savdhaan India on television.

Last seen in – Sushant was last seen in Surveen Chawla-Jay Bhanushali’s Bollywood debut film,Hate Story 2, in which he played the antagonist. He got positive reviews from critics and masses alike for his performance in the film.

Our take – Sushant comes across as a very intense person. So he would be at calm all the time inside the house. But then, as we know, most calm people ultimately burst like a volcano after a point of time in that glass walled house.

Mariam Zakaria

Claim to fame – Though this Iranian actress with Swedish nationality made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with the film, Paying Guests, she only came into the limelight with her role in Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer Agent Vinod.

Last seen in – Mariam, who also played the role of Rose in Grand Masti was last seen in a Tollywood film titled Arjuna.

Our take – Like Eli Avram, Sunny Leone, Hazel Keech among others, this foreign beauty will impress everyone with her innocence, we are sure of it.

Mohit Malhotra

Claim to fame - Mohit started his career with the reality show Spitsvilla 2, which made him popular amongs the youth. He then appeared in TV shows like Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke, Sasural Genda Phool, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Kya Hua Tera Vaada.

Last seen in – Mohit was last seen as Zubair in Colors’ hit TV show, Beintehaa.

Our take – Again, just like Gautam, Mohit will also be the eye candy with all the girls inside the house going gaga over him. We won’t be surprised at all if he comes out of the house with a lady by his side, just like Splitsvilla.

Puneet Issar

Claim to fame - Puneet is most famous for his role as Duryodhana in the TV adaptation (1988–1990) of the Mahabharata, and directing Garv: Pride and Honour, that starred Salman Khan. His other notable roles are in JP Dutta’s Border, and second lead in the cult Indian horror film Purana Mandir.

Last seen in – Puneet was last seen as Parshuraam in Star Plus’recently concluded Mahabharat.

Our take - He would be the senior most housemate in Bigg Boss 8 this year. Obviously, we are expecting him to take control of the house.

VJ Bani

Claim to fame - Gurbani Judge (Bani J) is a well known face of urban Indian television thanks to her work over the years for MTV India. Known for her outspoken nature, attitude and unwillingness to play games with contestants, Bani fast became a public favorite and ended up becoming the runner up of the MTV Roadies (season 4). Her performance was well received and paved the way for her to become an anchor on MTV shortly after.

Last seen in – Bani, who has also acted in Bollywood movies like Aap Ka Suroor and Soundtrackwas last seen in this Punjabi film, Zorawar.
