‘The Shaukeens’ is a new upcoming movie which stars Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra and Lisa Haydon.
The movie also features Akshay Kumar playing a character that he has never played before on screen. He is playing himself as the star, but he’s going to be an alcoholic star.
It is a challenge for Akshay to play a fictional character of himself being alcoholic. A source revealed a little more about Akshay’s character in the movie and said that he is playing a complete contradiction of himself where is seen drinking even when he is working.
Tigamanshu Dhulia who is the writer of the film came up with the idea to make Akshay play himself but with a twist. Director Abhishek Sharma is excited about this and said, “I feel the best part about Akshay is his ability to laugh at himself. That is why he is so good at whatever he does.”
The movie will be hitting the screens on the 7th November, 2014.
