A cabin with a view

"Imagine a cabin where the windows are display screens, relaying a choice of views from around the aircraft." In a glimpse of what the future of aviation holds, a British developer is testing a windowless plane for commercial flights.

Scientists and engineers at United Kingdom-based Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) are working on replacing heavy aircraft windows with lightweight smartscreen panels.

The full-length screens will give passengers constant views of the space outside the aircraft.
