Dawood, Taliban paying for Mulayam's birthday bash: Azam Khan

Known for his controversial remarks, senior Samajwadi Party leader and prominent Muslim face of Uttar Pradesh, Azam khan, Friday kicked off yet another controversy by , saying Dawood Ibrahim, Taliban and Abu Salem are paying for Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's 75th birthday celebrations.

Under fire from several quarters for spending people's money for the birthday bash in his home town Rampur, Khan gave a brief response and said, “Dawood, Taliban, Abu Salem are paying for Mulayam's birthday bash.”

The grand celebration for the SP chief's 76th birthday in Rampur include a 75-feet-long cake and a Victorian 'buggy' hired from London. "The birthday celebrations will start from tomorrow midnight and Netaji (Mulayam) along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will reach Rampur in afternoon," SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary told media.
