Despite high expectation, the film opened to a lukewarm response
Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru directorial Happy Ending starring Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Ileana D’Cruz and Ranveer Shorey released on Friday, November 21, to a below average response. According to trade analyst Komal Nahta, the film collected Rs 4.oo Crores on its first day at the domestic front.
Though the film has been appreciated by the audience, the opening day collection remained low, going by Bollywood standards. This was despite the fact that the film had a solo release and even Kill Dil was not much of a competition.
The film that targeted urban audience was reported to have a low occupancy on its opening day. But whether it will pick up or not is yet to be seen.
