‘Bombay Velvet’ Will Have Different Versions Globally

November 28, 2014 08:47 AM

Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Bombay Velvet’ directed by Anurag Kashyap will have two separate versions.

One will be for the home audience, i.e. for the Indian audience and the other one will be for the global audience.

The global version is been edited in Los Angeles by Oscar winning film editor, Thelma Colbert Schoonmaker. This film is planned with systematic releases in Europe somewhere in the summers. The decision was made and the team felt that it would be worthwhile to handover the film to Schoonmaker to make it globally fit for the audience all over to deliver refreshment through Anurag’s period love story.

On the other hand, the Indian version is edited by Prerna Saigal, who has previously worked as an associate director in films like ‘The Lunchbox’ and ‘Peddlers’.
