Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone’s Happy New Year is all set to be released in the African nation of Egypt this New Year’s eve. Farah Khan and Red Chillies have confirmed the news stating that they are over jubilated that the film is still making news. Grapevine also suggests that HNY is still running to packed theatres at some places across the globe and that’s the reason why distributors in Egypt got so interested in the film’s content and urged to release the film in the desert nation.

The movie is set to run in 10 theaters across the cities of Cairo, Alexandria and Obour City. All the major theatres and multiplexes will showcase the film, which will carry English and Arabic subtitles. Venky Mysore, CEO, Red Chillies Entertainments, said, “After Chennai Express, this is the second RCE film to release in Egypt. Indian actors and films have enjoyed a lot of goodwill in Egypt and we hope the audiences in Egypt will enjoy HNY as much as all audiences around the world have.”

Also starring Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Jackie Shroff and Vivaan Shah, Happy New Year became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2014. Bur whether it impresses the Egyptian audience, is yet to be seen.
