Here’s what Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor have lined up for 2015

2014 wasn’t just a year of the Khans. A-list actresses, who raced a riot to bag the Numero Uno position, also had a lot to show. Kangana Ranaut left us stunned with Queen and so did Priyanka Chopra with Mary Kom, Katrina Kaif with Bang Bang, Deepika Padukone with Happy New Year and the list goes on. But with 2014 winding up, here’s what we need to know about their upcoming plans- Admire, anticipate, await!

Deepika Padukone

Piku: It’s a Shoojit Sircar directorial that also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The film narrates a beautiful father-daughter relationship between Big B and Deepika and is heading for a 30th April, release.

Tamasha: Deepika gets back to Ranbir Kapoor with this Imtiaz Ali film and promises to give us a passionate love story by playing a fan of French comic. This drama is to release somewhere around mid 2015.

Bajirao Mastani: And finally, Deepika’s year ends with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. This historic venture stars her real-life beau Ranveer Singh and is an intense love story that’s locked for a December release.

Katrina Kaif

Phantom: Katrina starts her tour with Kabir Khan’s Phantom. Co-starring Saif Ali Khan, the film deals with counter-terrorism take on 26/11 Mumbai attacks. It involves a lot of action and is slated for a 3rd April, release.

Jagga Jasoos: Katrina comes onscreen with her real life beau Ranbir Kapoor with this one. The Anurag Basu film is an engaging story on how a gifted teenage detective, Ranbir looks out for his missing father (Govinda), alongside Katrina playing his assistant. The film is aiming at a 28th August release.

Fitoor: And to conclude, we have Fitoor rolling out of Kat’s kitty. It stars Katrina and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles and essays an adaption of Charles Dickens novel, Great Expectations. The film also stars Rekha and is heading for a Christmas release.

Priyanka Chopra

Dil Dhadakne Do: Boasting an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor, Priyanka gives us this Zoya Akhtar directorial with all the hype. The film has a starry association and also a story which has Ranveer and Priyanka playing siblings. Watch out for this on the 5th of June.

Bajirao Mastani: This Sanjay Leela Bhansali film is a historical venture on Peshwa Bajirao. So while Ranveer essays Bajirao-The warrior, Deepika plays his Mastani whereas Priyanka interrupts being a turning point as his Kashibai. This love triangle will shoot up this December.

Anushka Sharma

NH 10: Being her first film of 2015, NH 10 is also Anushka’s first production venture under her banner, Clean Slate Films. Co-starring Mary Kom actor Neel Bhoopalam, the film essays a plot of a road trip gone wrong and is heading for a 6th March release.

Dil Dhadakne Do: Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do comes in next. Anushka is said to be playing Ranveer Singh’s lover from a stellar cast that extends to names like Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor. The film narrates a story of a dysfunctional family who are out on a cruise trip.

Bombay Velvet: Anushka’s year concludes with Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet that’ll come around 15th of May. Co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, the film has been set in the Bombay of 1960’s and has Anushka playing a Jazz singer. Karan Johar too makes his acting debut with this one.

Sonam Kapoor

Dolly Ki Doli: Sonam’s year begins by getting married to not 1 but 3 men. Arbaaz Khan’s Dolly Ki Doli narrates such a story wherein Dolly (Sonam) marries 3 different men, only to con them on the very first night. The film also stars Rajkumar Rao and is aiming for a 25th Jan release.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo: Here we’ll get to see Sonam’s debut romance with evergreen bachelor Salman Khan. The film is a Sooraj Barjatya directorial that narrates a royal plot of prince Salman, princess Sonam and a double role that’ll again see Salman Khan. The film is heading for a Diwali release.

Kangana Ranaut

Tanu Weds Manu 2: Queen Kangana makes it to her sequel to 2011 film, Tanu Weds Manu in this year. The Anand L Rai film will take a four years leap with Kangana playing a double role- one as Madhavan’s spunky biwi and the other one as a Haryanvi athlete. The release date is yet to be confirmed.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Jazbaa: And finally, yummy mummy Aishwarya makes her comeback with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa. Co-starring Irrfan Khan, the film plots Ash as a lawyer and is heading for a year end release.
