Kareena Kapoor inspired Anushka Sharma to enter Bollywood?

March 10, 2015 04:13 PM

Anushka Sharma certainly seems to be making right choices in Bollywood. The actress, who became the box office queen with her last release PK, is gearing up for an exciting 2015. She starts with her maiden production NH10, that’s releasing this weekend. Followed by Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet coming up next. Quite a challenging year for Ms Sharma. But guess what? All this wouldn’t have been possible for Anushka without Kareena Kapoor Khan! Yes! And here’s why we say so…

Kareena’s 2007 film Jab We Met is that one film which inspired Anushka to enter Bollywood. During her recent interaction with the media, Virat Kohli’s girlfriend made this candid confession and said, “I never wanted to be an actor. But I remember when I saw ‘Jab We Met’, I saw it in Bikaner. I was just so taken over by the beauty of the cinema that it makes you feel so happy, it uplifts your spirits like that. A very simple story. That’s the first time I thought I can probably do this.” Quite a story no?
