Police gunned down five terror accused as they tried to escape from their custody in Telangana's Warangal district on Tuesday, police said.
Police opened fire when the accused tried to escape while being brought to Hyderabad for a court hearing. The incident occurred between Aler and Jangaon, about 80 km from hyderabad.
Viqaruddin Ahmed and his four associates, involved in the killing of two policemen, were killed.
