Rani Mukerji recently succeeded well enough with her last release ‘Mardaani’.

Now there are reports that reveal she will be working on her next venture for which she will be playing the role of Dawood’s sister, Haseena Parkar.

The filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia had earlier expressed his desire to make a film on Haseena’s life and he was finally confined the screenplay of the movie. Haseena started to be known in the year 1991 after her husband; Ismail Parkar, was shot dead by the members of the Arun Gawli clan. After the incident, Dawood’s gang shot down the murderer in the renowned J.J. Hospital shootout.

After all the chaos and hustle, Haseena relocated and moved to South Mumbai area, Nagpada and was said to be the Godmother of that area. This year on the 4th of July, she died in the Dongri hospital.

It is believed that the director Apoorva spent a lot of time with Haseena to understand the complexities of her life and he has also been in touch with her family as he wants to be sure about every detail being perfect. The filmmaker very well believes that Rani will be apt for the role and she would be able to pull off her character with confidence.

Rani has not done any biopic as yet and she is seems to be quite interested in doing the film. To appear like Haseena, Rani has already started putting on weight. Rani will be undergoing various workshops to learn Haseena’s mannerisms
