CHANDIGARH, July 5

          The Punjab Government has launched a web site htt://www.punjabscholarships.gov.in for receiving online applications for Post Matric Scholarship from scheduled casts and other backward classes students.

          Disclosing this here today  Punjab welfare minister for SC & BC S. Gulzar Singh Ranike said  that all the educational institutions awarding post matric scholarship to SC and OBC students have been instructed to login the website and enter institution's details, immediately by clicking "Institution Administration" and has to confirm the same to respective line Department.

                             Minister added that the candidates could apply for scholarship online from today. He said that Mrs. Bindu Walia Joint Director, Welfare Department has been deputed as a nodal officer. He said that for query one could send email to jdwelfarepunjab@gmail.com or can dial toll free no. 1800-137-0015.
