Is Deepika Singh LYING to evade the Anas Rashid slap controversy?

March 13, 2015 03:15 PM

All was hunky dory in the land of Diya Aur Baati Hum until things turned ugly between co-stars Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid. The two play Sandhya and Sooraj on Star Plus’s hit show and were recently embroiled in a shocking controversy. BollywoodLife had informed its viewers that Deepika lost her cool on the sets of the show after she was “touched inappropriately” by Anas, as she claims. It so happened that Anas forgot his cue and grabbed Deepika from the front instead of back. The incident was taken up by Deepika who complained to the director and the matter reportedly has now been resolved by CINTAA.Deepika recently spilled the beans on the same stating,” “I don’t expect an apology from Anas neither he expects from me because there is no need for it. It was only an outburst because as a friend and as a co-actor, if he would have apologised when the incident occurred, I would have felt good and this matter wouldn’t have aggravated more.”

Talking further about the fact that a controversy as such could impact the popularity of the show, Deepika said,” For the sake of the show DABH, we had to put an end to the matter as we did not want to hamper DABH’s fan’s. The show is like a family to me as it has given me recognition and whatever I am today it is because of the show. I respect Anas as he is my first co-star and we were friends but after this incident, our friendship has become better.”

Do you buy Deepika’s statement? Cuz we sure as hell don’t! It clearly seems like the actress hasn’t gotten over the incident and has decided to let bygones be bygones only for the sake of her show. After all, post a grave incident as such, can two co-stars truly become “better friends”? We think not! It all seems like a cover up on Deepika’s part to keep intact the onscreen image of her character Sandhya as well as co-star Anas’s role as Sooraj in the show.
